Punch Bag Workout
It’s Bank holiday weekend here in the UK, but I still managed to slip away from the kids whilst they were doing some homework to fit in my 30 minutes of “Fight Yourself Fit” training. Today’s punch bag workout was “Power & Speed 3” which incorporates some weighted punch training.
3kg Probably doesn’t seem a lot to someone who’s not doing the program. But believe me it’s heavy enough when you’re trying to punch as fast as you possibly can with them. In fact I remember when I found it quite tricky with just 1kg back in week one.
Through the past 9 weeks, Monday has always been my strongest day. Today was no different, the 2 days rest meant I was fresh and raring to go. I especially enjoyed the plank to press-up exercises today, again this was something I had previously struggled with back in week one – but today …no problem at all.
There’s only 4 days left until day 60 and Corney’s 12 round challenge. The plan is to put up the final results photos and measurements on Friday. It takes a while for me and John to cut the photos out, although admittedly there is not less of us to cut out now 🙂 so this should be quicker. I’m really excited to find out my final results, but also a little sad it’s coming to an end – but don’t worry – we will be starting it all again in a couple of weeks time. 🙂
9 weeks may sound like a long time, but with the great results I’ve had and the fact that the time has flown past it actually feels the opposite – it feels like no time at all. The variety of the different workouts and combinations means I’m all to happy to jump back into it straight away and Fight Myself Even Fitter. 🙂
Cheers, Steve.
