I had a quick watch of the help video that comes with the Fight Yourself Fit workout before I did Tech 3 today. It was good to go through all the different techniques again to check if I’d forgotten anything or I could do anything to enhance my form.
There were a couple of things I will try and correct.
For instance I know I have a problem with moving back in my stance, a bad habit I got from my sparring. Instead of pushing off of my front foot to go back, I sometimes use my back foot to pull my front foot back. It’s not the end of the world, but all the same I spent 20 minutes practicing it correctly to try an re-train my legs and I will concentrate on it more during the workouts too.
Also footwork with my rear hook, I don’t twist my foot and therefore my body into it enough. So I spent another 20 minutes practicing the back foot/body twist with the right hook on the bag – I was absolutely knackered before I even started the workout. 🙂
I’m happy to say I completed 10 to 1 again today, it was a struggle, but I guess it’s not meant to be easy 🙂 . I will try 11 to 1 on Monday and Wednesday next week and see how much it kills me.
