Punch Bag Combo
So.. I’ve made it to day 5, it’s been fantastic exercising again and taking my frustrations out on the bag… but I’m not going to lie, I will be pleased for the well earned 2 day recovery this weekend. 🙂
I must remember not to celebrate the end of “Fight Yourself Fit Week One” with a beer! That has been my normal Friday ritual for the past few months. Don’t worry I’m only joking – definitely no beer this weekend.
I’ve been looking forward to todays workout as it’s a new one on the schedule –
Technique 2 (Off the Jab)
All done and I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I wrote above that I was dreaming of beer and a break!! As soon as I started the dynamic stretches and the skipping my mind focused straight back to the boxing and the different punch bag combo s.
It’s really good that Corney mixed the schedule up so you can experience new exercises and techniques. Everyday is different, which stops any boredom whatsoever creeping in.
I dragged my poor wife out in the rain to come and film my favourite punch bag combo from this workout – Here’s me thinking I was doing it correctly, but watching it back, I’ve still got some work to do – I’m sure Corney will have something to say about it!
All in all it’s been a great week – lots of aches and pains which is to be expected. The half an hour sessions have been easy to slot in around work. I haven’t once thought “Oh god I’ve got to go out and do the workout” because I know they are so quick.
I’ve been surprised how bad I am at certain exercises e.g. Press-ups, Tri-cep dips, I took for granted how easy I use to find these. The good news is, I know that in about 7 weeks time I will be back to my normal fit and healthy self and ready to embark on round 2 of Fight Yourself Fit.
Extra Challenge
It’s not part of the 60-day program, but every Monday, Wednesday and Friday I will be trying to more and more chin-ups.
OK, this is now getting embarrassing (not that it wasn’t already) but again I’ve managed 1 more chin-up than last time – I have a feeling there is a pattern forming. 🙂
Set 1 – 4 chin-ups!
Set 2 -3 chin-ups!!
Set 3 – 3 chin-ups!
Cheers, Steve.
