Day 4 – Boxing Power & Speed

boxing power & speed
Just look at the concentration!

I half dread the walk to the garage, besides anything else – it’s freezing out there!  So, no time for dragging my feet that’s for sure – wraps on and warm up.

boxing power & speed – I never thought it would be possible to feel completely wrecked – and yet great at the same time.  I’m aching all over and every muscle in my body feels like its been in overdrive.  But afterwards I feel energised and raring to go.  This is a new experience…..

Day 4 – Power & Speed 1

So,  this is the second time round for Power & Speed 1.  Should be a bit easier!?  Umm.  Even though I’m really feeling the effects from the past 4 days – I went for it a bit harder, although I soon faded when the 2nd set of ‘sixer crunches’ kicked in – and by the end the ‘straight punches’ (with dumbbells) I could barely lift my arms!  I feel I have a long way to go before I reach full speed.  But that’s a good thing.  I’m a beginner.  My goals are on a day-by-day basis but the program is for 60-days and beyond.

Skipping / Jump Rope – I’ve decided to take my skipping outside.  The top of the rope tends to hit the garage ceiling, I’m sure somehow I’ll end up hanging myself with it.  Easily solved – I just hit pause on the iPad and step outside to skip for 2 minutes.  I then come back in, press play and continue to follow along with routine – but skipping without the rope.  That must surely count as extra points!

4 down, 1 to go – then Week 1 complete.

# P.S. Rachel in the video looks totally awesome at shadow boxing.  Lightning fast.

Cheers, John.
