I’m sure you’ll all be pleased to know a refreshened, happy and revitalised Steve appeared today 🙂 – ready to attack the workout. Shows a good nights sleep really does help.
Back to Technique Workout 2 – “Off the Jab” I really do have to take my hat off to Corney with the schedule – going back and re-visiting the previous workouts really does cement the techniques in your mind.
The Jab, Lead Hook combination is one of my favourite techniques in this workout and also one I like to use when I’m sparring – as long as you use is sparingly you really can catch your opponent off-guard and it’s the perfect set-up to power the straight right through.
I’ve forgotten how technical some of the combinations are in this workout and it still had my brain working overtime, making sure I was getting the technique and form correct. I know John had a few problems with the sit-back, uppercut, hook so I found a video of Corney’s for him to help him out 🙂 here you go John. Boxing Uppercut, Hook Demo Here
We’re over halfway through at this point and both me and John will be burning your eyes some more at the end of next week with our six week pictures.
I’m really pleased with how things are going so far. I’ve really pushed myself this week and will be pushing myself to the limit next week too. I want to get the best possible results for the end of week 6. What I’m really surprised about is the amount of fat I had on me (and still have on me), it seems never ending, layer after layer. But, I think I can see a difference in the mirror now which is positive and is always good for motivation to try my best every workout 🙂 .
Have a good weekend everybody.
