Day 23 – A New Day A New Boxing Challenge

A brand new workout today Power & Speed 3

This really was a new day… a new boxing challenge – this workout was a step up in pace. It whizzed past, but there were some new harder exercises involved, including the ab crunch bag slaps as pictured above.

I kept up with everything that was thrown at me and I definitely wouldn’t have been able to that 3 weeks ago. I even managed to make it through the plank, to press-up exercise without stopping.

I’m amazed how much fitter I feel, I think my weights going the right way too because my jeans keep slipping down, I’m forever pulling them up – they don’t fall right down, I’m not a flasher 🙂 but I am going to have to find a belt with some more notches.

Even though this workout is a “power & speed” session, there was still loads of boxing techniques thrown in. I especially enjoyed the jab, cross, ducking under and stepping to the side and the keeping up with Corney for the last 2 rounds. In these rounds he shouts out different combinations to keep you on your toes.

I have to say, I am feeling fitter, but by the end of this workout I was absolutely exhausted. The stepping up in gear forces you to put even more effort in and I really did need the rest periods.

On Friday both me and John will be nearly half through the 60 day workout. Be warned you might have to put up with some more dodgy pictures from us both – although hopefully less dodgy than our day 1 photos 🙂

Cheers, Steve.
